Using key concepts from Tim Keller's Center Church as the blueprint, this 6-week seminar will focus on the following: (1) How the Gospel, and specifically our Reformed (ECO) worldview, shapes our lives and witness, (2) How that witness intersects with Houston: the specific needs, communities, neighbors, people, and culture here, and (3) How we as a "sent" people in Houston have a unique calling to serve and advance the Kingdom of Heaven. This class will help integrate our understanding of doctrine, mission, and strategy, ultimately exposing the theological underpinnings of Vision 2020 and creating a space for the body of FPC to join the work of bringing our vision to fruition. Reformation & Bible Sunday

Oct 29|8:15am - 12:30pm
Joing us as we celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation by presenting children, grades 1st-3rd, with Bibles and fellowship together.  Presenting Bibles to our 3rd graders is a long time beloved tradition. It’s a very special moment in the life of our church as we all come together and encourage our young believers to read for themselves the story of God’s love for us. As a community we are given the opportunity to act on the promise we make at infant baptism to welcome children into the family of Christ followers.  We plan to continue this tradition but with a bit of an update. There was a time when children were considered strong readers by 3rd grade. Children are now learning to read at younger ages and are ready to have their own Bible by 1st grade. For the future we are going to change 3rd Grade Bible Presentation Sunday to 1st Grade Bible Presentation Sunday. However, we need a “catch up” year so that no one will be left out! Click here for more information and to register your 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd grade student for our presentation on Sunday, October 29.
