POP (Prayers of the People) Training Class

The POP Ministry provides Lay Ministers to serve those that are sick in hospitals, in the Medical Center and beyond, as well as the caregivers and their family members. Through the ministry of Prayers Of the People in 2016, over 12,000 persons were visited and cared for.  There is no cost for this training, and all interested parties can easily register by clicking here.

Freedom Sunday is International Justice Mission's nationwide day of awareness, and the church's response to the epidemic of slavery. Millions of children, women and men are trapped in slavery. Freedom Sunday is a national day of action in which churches around the country will take a stand in the fight to end slavery. FPC will host Freedom Sunday during worship as well as have ministries involved in the effort to end slavery in Palm Court, including IJM and Freedom Church Alliance.

This 4-week seminar is for anyone in the church who has been affected by Hurricane Harvey, has had loved ones affected, or wants to learn how to best help their friends and community. Join us as LPC, Sarah Burkhart, Associate Pastor and Counselor, Bill Heston, and Children's Director Stacey Rockwell teach on a Biblical approach to dealing with stress, anxiety, children's coping mechanisms, and family strain all caused by Harvey. The Alpha Course is a 6-week seminar where we eat together (free food!) and watch a 20-minute video that explores some of life's big questions from a Christian perspective. We will then gather in small group discussions to voice ANY question/objection/concern that comes to mind. Everyone is welcome whether skeptic, spiritual, non-religious, de-churched, post-churched, or religious. This course is for anyone who wants to learn in a community of diverse people in order to grapple with how Christian teaching helps or hinders our life experience. This seminar will be facilitated by Daniel Stidham.
