Parenting Beginnings Class

Parenting Beginnings Class

Apr 22|9:40am
Dear Parents and Expecting Parents (and those that are considering),  We are excited to announce that Stacey Rockwell, Director of Children and Family, will be leading a class this spring focused on parenting newborns. This 6-week discussion (Sundays, April 22-May 27) and reflection group is perfect for anyone that is considering having an infant, about to have an infant, or currently has an infant. Stacey Rockwell will facilitate the group using Your Newborn Promise Project: A Christian Pre-Parenting Primer.  The guide walks us through scripture that encourages reflection on our relationships with each other, our own parents, and God as we take on the responsibility of being Christian parents. “The arrival of a child is a watershed event, a spiritual passage of life for infants and parents alike. God brings a child into the world already primed to know and grow in him. At the same time, new parents enter an entirely new phase in marriage and personal growth. The confluence of transitions is like a gift from God to bring us closer to him and to each other.” (Grant, Haney & Kolar, 2017, p. 9)  All who are interested are welcome. Please don't hesitate to email or call if you have any questions.
