First Presbyterian Church is pleased to host the second annual State of the City Symposium on Friday evening, April 21, and Saturday, April 22. The theme for State of the City is “The Dangerous Act of Loving our Neighbor". The vision for the Symposium is to provide FPC members, ministry partners and the surrounding community an opportunity to hear about challenges facing our city and how we, as the Church, can respond. Registration for childcare and elementary programming ends on Tuesday, 4/18 at 11:59 PM.

**Please note that volunteers only need to sign up on this form. As a thank you for volunteering, your lunch is complimentary.


Presentation Speakers Include:

Jim Herrington: Pastor Co-founder of Mission Houston and Faith Walking
Clayton Crook: Principal of Cullen Middle School, HISD, Third Ward
Leigh Kohler: Executive Director, Freedom Church Alliance
Sonja Gee: Executive Director, Main Street Ministries
Bill Henson: Founder, Lead Them Home
Austin Hermann: Director of Ministry Empowerment, First Presbyterian Church 

The Symposium will culminate with a luncheon and presentation. Symposium registration cost is $10 per person, which may be paid upon registration or in person at the registration table at State of the City. Childcare and elementary programming are available and require registration. Registration for childcare and elementary programming ends on Tuesday, 4/18 at 11:59 PM.

A State of the City resource area will be available that includes materials and references on the issues raised, ministries and organizations responding to these needs and sign-up sheets for those participants who want to be part of FPC teams to go deeper and engage in a response as the church and body of Christ.
