Palestinian Bible Society was established 1993. A national office of the United Bible Societies and an inter-confessional Christian Palestinian organization, PBS expanded beyond the sole task of Bible distribution into building bridges with communities across West Bank and Gaza towards creating meaningful interaction with these communities.

The mission of PBS is “to live and give, serve and proclaim the word of God” and our vision is to see “Palestinian people experience true freedom through the saving power of the gospel of Jesus Christ”.

PBS activities during the last 20 years:

- launched 10 community development projects in Gaza, Bethlehem, Bir Zeit, Nablus, Jenin, Jericho and several other Palestinian villages.

- Responded to Humanitarian crises with launching relief initiatives, and Micro Development projects.

- Participated with Bibles and Christian books in book fairs through cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Culture.

- Opened three Christian bookshops, printed and published many different scriptures and portions.

- Supported various church children and youth programs with activities, printed and audiovisual Scripture materials.

PBS has an advisory committee represented by most Christian denomination. It is present through the different centers in 7 cities. Its work is always in partnership with local NGOs and within the civil society. The network of such relations and partnerships include no less than 100 of such partners.

FPC has been in partnership with PBS since 2000.  Due to the need for relief and outreach to children and families following the second Intifada, PBS established Operation Palestinian Child which FPC helped provide funding for.    Since then, FPC has been in deep relationship with the staff and ministries of PBS, providing finanical support, hosting PBS partners at FPC such as Labib Madanet and Nashat Fellemon, as taking encouragement teams to Israel/Palestine.  When FPC takes Holy Land trips, PBS helps coordinate our ministry visits and experiences, and teams enjoy amazing hospitality from our friends there.
