Married Life

Welcome to the FPC Married Life web page. We believe Christian marriage is a unique relationship created by God to be a witness to the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is vital that Christians who are married view their relationship with the utmost care and attention. FPC's marriage ministry is designed to help strengthen couples' relationship with God and one another. We are committed to providing appropriate resources to help, encourage, challenge and support married couples at FPC.

Marriage Beginnings

Engaged and Newly Married  |  9:40-10:00am  |  LC 267   |  October 7-November 11.

Our hope is that engaged and newly married couples would join us for this 6 week Sunday School Class.

Marriage is a gift from God and we place a high value on the importance and necessity of preparing for this relationship, before and after marriage. FPC offers a 6-week seminar that addresses the biblical meaning of marriage, common issues couples face, and provide vital tools to help navigate your relationship. The class is taught by members of FPC, pastors and family counseling professionals. The class facilitators are Alan and Claudia Stewart. Whether you are considering marriage, engaged, or have been married for only a few months or years, this class is beneficial to all as we work towards glorifying our Lord in the way we love our future or current spouse.

This portion of the ministry will focus on couple to couple relationships, encouraging couples who want to discuss marriage issues within a smaller, more confidential relationship.  Mentor couples will bring with them many years of married life and will provide an encouraging, open and honest setting for discussion and encouragement.

Married couples frequently experience challenges in their relationship, and at times need outside help to  get them back on track.  We offer confidential, pastoral counseling with the option of further, professional counseling as needed.
