Purpose

We Are the Mission is a year-long focus for FPC members to find your unique place in our church's mission of "carrying the Gospel to Houston and the world." We encourage you to see your own life as a mission trip - an opportunity to participate daily in God's mission to the world. Whatever you do and wherever you go each day, envision your life as a missionary ... carrying the gospel of Jesus Christ into your world.

Vision 2013

FPC’s strategic plan should focuses on teaching, small groups and mission, all organized under a Session that is focused on empowering ministry teams, all based on our Vision Path, which is a vision for creating disciples. The three pillars of Vision 2013, small groups, teaching, and missions, built on a foundation of leadership, form an integrated vision that is strong, functional, and faithful.

It is all too easy for a large church to pursue so many “good ministries” that it misses the opportunity to make a “great impact” for the Kingdom in its community.

In 2005, the leadership of FPC set out to articulate the identity and direction of FPC in a way that every leader, ministry and member can understand it, share it and live it with passion. We began by asking, “What does FPC do best, and what is it that brings people back?” By sharing “best of” stories, the unique character of FPC was revealed and celebrated.
