The Women’s Ministry is a grace-filled community of women from all seasons and walks of life sharing life’s joys and struggles in the context of how God is using every circumstance to mold us into Christ’s image. These women study God’s Word, pray, and serve the community together. By faith and God’s grace, in large and small ways, they are women of The Word reaching out to women in the world.
Childcare is available on Tuesdays from 9am–12:30pm at a cost of $5 per mom/week by reservation.

Feb 16-18, 2018 / Camp Allen, Navasota Texas
Rev. Shelley Homeyer, Ugandan missionary as a discipleship pastor and theology lecturer with African Renewal Ministries, will lead us in discerning God’s voice within the body of Christ. In our journey, we are continually facing decisions and transitions such as job changes, ministry callings, loss, marriage and family struggles, hardships, Harvey. Whether your crossroad is in the moment or in a short-term or long-term discernment, Shelley will help to equip us in becoming more spiritually aware and intentional in seeking God's call and direction. Small group time will focus on practicing discernment within community.
And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21

Spring Kick Off January 9
First Moms invites women in the throes of motherhood to come… just as you are! Gather with other mothers in an informal and casual setting to study and encourage each other in God’s grace. Share joys and concerns with mentor moms who have been there. First Moms is a peer-taught class with a weekly lesson, small group discussion, and a time for group prayers and praises. We also regularly take part in mission projects together. This spring we will be studying The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer. Focusing on the scripture in Ephesians, this study will bring to light the spiritual war that is around us and will challenge us to suit up, stand firm, and secure victory in our lives. Childcare is available for infants up to elementary age for $5 per mom per week. Newborns are welcome in the classroom if desired. For more information or to register contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

Spring semester begins on January 11
Join us as we study God's Word through teaching, individual study and small group discussion, as well as support each other through prayer and fellowship. Women of all ages are invited. Our spring study will be Priscilla Shirer's Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted. Interruptions, they're aggravating, confusing and sometimes painful. Jonah was interrupted by a call of God that would require a complete change of life. And he ran from it. Yet, it was really an opportunity for Jonah to be involved in something the likes of which that Old Testament world had never seen. Shirer teaches of opportunities lost and lessons learned - and the amazing freedom and fulfillment that comes from going with God even when He's going against our grain. Our time will consist of home study, Shirer's DVD lessons and small group discussion.

An intergenerational community who commits to supporting each other in our health and spiritual goals. We combine scripture study and current medical research on weight management to lead people in making successful choices. Our spring study will be Be Free. "Freedom is neither perfection nor permission." We want to be able to say, "I know the truth, and the truth can set me free."
The cost for first time participants is $125, which covers books, DVDs, and other required materials. Each subsequent session is $25 for the book and supplies. Contact Teresa Koops at email@example.com or Susan Townsend at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to register.
Thursdays | 9:30–11:30am | 5401 Fannin St (2 blocks east of FPC, across the street from St Paul's)
Join other FPC women EVERY Thursday (except Thanksgiving) as we make and distribute sandwiches together for the EAC, an interfaith association of congregations committed to promoting self-sufficiency to low income families in Harris County by assisting them with basic needs such as food and clothing. It’s a great time for fellowship among friends while giving back to the community. To signup, please contact Laura Smith at email@example.com.
Women's Fellowship Circles welcome all women who want to visit. Our nine circles meet at FPC or in homes once a month. We share in mission, Bible study and friendship. The Bible studies are led by circle members who are taught by church pastors and staff on a monthly basis. We also have a mission focus each month that helps local ministries such as Main Street Ministries, The Nehemiah Center, the Seafarers' Center at the Port of Houston and the Harris Health Services supporting Ben Taub.
