God with US: LIving in Light Of the Incarnation

Spend the season of Advent with the FPC family as we reflect on the great promises of the Gospel and celebrate the birth of our Saviour through our theme, God With Us: Living in Light of the Incarnation

What is the significance of our God being “with us”? How does Christ, being God who was pleased to dwell in human flesh, enter into specific aspects of creation for the sake of its redemption? And finally, how does Christ’s example of how He lived in the flesh, and His empowering Spirit who now lives in us, call us to live in the here and now?

Pick up your copy of the God With Us devotional on Sunday, December 1 or visit the Advent Discipleship Series page to download a copy of the guide, access podcasts, replay sermons, and complete the daily exercises.

Christmas Eve Offering

Each year, the Christmas Eve offering is designated for FPC mission partners. This year, the offering taken during the Christmas Eve services will bless Jossour – Bridges of Hope and Houston welcomes refugees. Jossour – Bridges of Hope, a global partner, works in the Arab world with the vision to build Bridges of Hope. They disciple the unreached and equip the local church. Houston welcomes refugees, a local partner, serves many people from areas where Jossour works, and their mission is to mobilize Houston to welcome refugees with compassion, hope, and honor as they start a new life in Houston. Please give generously and bless the vital work of these ministries. All loose plate offerings and designated checks will be directed to this special offering. Checks should be made out to FPC with a notation of “Christmas Eve”.

Christmas Eve Parking at FPC

Parking for our Christmas Eve services will be available in the north lot, via valet at the Christian Education entrance, and at no cost in the MFAH Montrose Parking Garage (located beneath the Glassell School of Art). MFAH Garage parking for the 3 PM service will require a validation, which can be obtained at the Welcome Center and Palm Court security desks. The Mann Eye Institute Parking lot will also be available on Christmas Eve for the 7 PM and 9 PM services.
