Journey through the Bible
In this season of disruption and uncertainty, we have kicked off a new opportunity to grow in faith and hope. Beginning April 20, we will journey through the grand narrative of scripture by reading the Bible from Cover to Cover in 100 days. Registrants can choose between a full or lighter reading plan then walk through the 100 days with a personal breakout group and leader.
The Complete Cover to Cover (C2C) reading plan is just that: reading through the entire Bible in 100 days, with a "catch up" day nearly every week. The Defining Moments (DM) reading plan covers 100 significant stories over the 100 days: roughly a chapter or two a day. Both reading plans will get you in Scripture everyday and into a community of people reading with you. You will see the big picture of the Bible like never before, from Creation to the Final glorious Consummation. Click below to see the reading plans and links to optional supplementary videos from The Bible Project online.
Along with personal reading and breakout groups for encouragement, each week a "Stump the Chump" Q&A video will be posted on our Cover to Cover in 100 Days Facebook page to clarify any questions or challenges you may have as you read the Scriptures. Led by Pastor Andrew Stepp, these videos will help guide us along the journey. To submit a question that will be answered in one of these videos, email Erin Varnell at firstname.lastname@example.org (note that not all questions will be answered the week of submission).
At the end of 100 days, you'll have a better and more intimate understanding of God's character and the role He has designed us to play in His big story of redemption. We also joyfully anticipate a season of groundedness and growth as God gives us comfort and encouragement as we immerse ourselves in His Word instead of our anxieties. Join us as we jump into God's word together! Our adventure begins on April 20.
Registration to join a breakout group is now closed, but you are free to use the above resources for your own reading if you so desire.
If you have questions about this journey or general discipleship resources, please email Catie Smith, Director of Discipleship.
