The devastation from the horrific December tornadoes that hit Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas and Tennessee is heartbreaking. There is the need for immediate emergency assistance now and followed by long-term recovery and rebuilding assistance. FPC has worked with two excellent first responder partners, the Salvation Army, and Samaritan’s Purse, for previous disasters and trust that they are again doing excellent work with relief. The Missions Ministry is communicating with other partners regarding possible recovery and rebuilding assistance and will provide more information as it is received. Please continue to pray for all those impacted by the storms, and we encourage you to give directly to these and other accredited ministries and organizations providing help.
Pray for those who were in the path of the devastating tornadoes and who lost so much. Pray for the first responders and all who are working in the recovery. Pray for the survivors and that they will have resources to deal with the trauma they have experienced. Pray for generous hearts and donors to help with the recovery and rebuilding efforts.
FPC is blessed to have local partners who are ready and organized to respond in relief and recovery for those areas impacted. The Salvation Army has been a long-standing FPC partner for disaster response. If you would like to learn more or contribute to their efforts, click on the link below
