Equipping parents in all stages (birth through 12th grade) so that a love for Jesus is instilled in the next generation.
We go into the world to share the gospel as individuals in our circles of influence and as a body in Houston and beyond. We provide strategic opportunities locally and globally to share the Gospel and also equip the Body of Christ to share their faith in their daily lives.

Describe your job in 10 words or fewer.
To equip people to follow Jesus, be changed by Jesus, and live out the mission of Jesus.
What’s one of your favorite scriptures?
Acts 17:24-28. My own life storylines up with this Scripture; it’s why I’m so passionate about equipping people to consider who God might have brought into their lives so that they might also come to know Him.
What are your top 3 favorite movies?
ALADDIN (I was obsessed with this movie as a kid and I never grew out of it); MIRACLE (one of the best sports movies I’ve seen on strategy and team formation, set against a geopolitical backdrop); DATE NIGHT (Steve Carrell and Tina Fey in one movie? So many laughs).
Best thing about Houston?
The diversity—the confluence of ethnicities, cultures, and cuisines.
What drew you to your current role / ministry?
The incredible opportunity at FPC to reach all the nations from our own neighborhood. I am convinced that if the apostle Paul were alive today, he would have seen Houston as a strategic crossroads for the gospel.
Most memorable FPC moment?
I vividly remember the pure joy on people’s faces during the opening hymn the first Sunday we reopened the building for worship. We were all so grateful to hear one all the voices singing together and the organ resounding through the sanctuary again. You could sense the collective gratitude as we realized what a privilege it is to be able to gather in worship. There were many teary eyes that day—mine included.
Favorite workday lunch spot?
Vibrant—it’s dedicated gluten-free. I can eat anything I want there!
What year did you start working at FPC?
2019
Who is your favorite author?
Henri Nouwen. I remember being astounded the first time I read one of his books at how he was able to articulate spiritual truths that had always felt beyond words to me. His writings really open me up to receive from God.
What is something God has been teaching you lately?
Intercession as a way of entering into the heart of God for others (courtesy of Adele Calhoun’s SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINES HANDBOOK).
What music are you listening to right now?
Right now I’m gravitating toward anything by Maverick City Music or Porter’s Gate.
What is your favorite TV show or movie?
TED LASSO!
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Gluten-free chocolate chip cookie dough OR gluten-free cookies ‘n cream. Since either flavor is rarely encountered in ice-cream nature, I will always go for a Yasso bar: mint chocolate chip or chocolate peanut butter.
