The current Elder Nominating Committee (ENC) and Standing Nominating Committee (SNC) ask the FPC congregation to recommend Covenant Partners to serve as either Elder or on the next ENC or SNC. We seek candidates who love Jesus Christ, who have a strong faith, and who are committed to Him as their Lord and Savior.
ELDERS – Due April 27, 2026 at 11:59 PM CT
A new class of Ruling Elders is formed every year and is composed of six Covenant Partners. Each Covenant Partner serves a three-year term. Elders oversee the spiritual life of the congregation—leading, governing, and if necessary, disciplining of its Covenant Partners.
ELDER NOMINATING COMMITTEE – Due April 27, 2026 at 11:59 PM CT
A new Elder Nominating Committee (ENC) is formed each year and is composed of two active Elders and nine other Covenant Partners who have not served on an ENC within the last three years. ENC members serve for one year and during this time it is their responsibility to identify and recommend a set of Covenant Partners to be ordained (if not already) as Elders and serve on Session for a period of three years.
STANDING NOMINATING COMMITTEE – Due April 27, 2026 at 11:59 PM CT
The Standing Nominating Committee (SNC) is a committee of the Session charged with nominating to the congregation an Elder Nominating Committee (ENC) each year and when needed a Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC). The members of this standing committee serve for two years and include Ruling Elders active on Session and members of the congregation at large. The SNC requests and then receives recommendations from the congregation to evaluate and select for the aforementioned committees
