Father of the Bride, A League of Their Own, Sleepless in Seattle

What is your hidden talent or fun fact about you?

Our FPC preteens are shocked when I kick of my high heels and play dodgeball with them…even nicknaming me the mvp sometimes!

Best thing about Houston?

The people!

What drew you to your current role / ministry?

My strong desire to see these children be so deeply rooted in their faith in the Lord that they continue to seek Him with all of their hearts in middle and high school.

What do you enjoy most about being on staff at FPC?

It has been such a blessing getting to know our incredible staff on a deeper level…what a wonderful team who are so passionate about showing others the love of Jesus in big ways!

Most memorable FPC moment?

There are too many to count, but the first that comes to mind is walking our very long Sanctuary aisle to my very best friend (and groom!) and Asa Hunt at our wedding in 2007.

If you could have dinner with anyone (past, present, or future) who would it be and why?

I would love to pull up a seat to the Lord’s Supper…as we read the accounts of it in the gospels, we try to imagine what that felt like to be a disciple listening to Jesus in those last supper moments, but I wish I could just be a quiet participant taking every word in!

What is something God has been teaching you lately?

God has been teaching me to listen more and to speak less – there is so much to learn when I hold my tongue and listen to those He has placed around me – especially 4th and 5th graders!

What is one of the most memorable experiences of your life?

A week-long sailing trip in the BVI’s with my husband and our dear college friends

Lately, I have been incredibly inspired by music and worshipping through song.
