There are organizations that can be of assistance to you as you learn more about the importance and impact of caring for your mental health.

  • Hope and Healing Center Institute (HHCI): HHCI is a comprehensive mental health resource serving the Houston community and beyond. They offer a variety of free services such as mental health coaching, support groups, telepsychiatry, as well as a mental health peer support line.

  • NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) Greater Houston: The mission of NAMI is to improve the lives of all persons affected by mental illness through support, education, and advocacy-based programs and services. They have free classes to help you and your family walk through the challenges faced by those with mental illness. To speak to someone about their services, please call 713.970.4419.

  • Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA): SAMHSA is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. SAMHSA’s mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America’s communities.

  • Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA): ADAA focuses on improving the quality of life for those with anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and co-occurring disorders through education, practice, and research.

  • International OCD Foundation: The mission of the International OCD Foundation is to help those affected by obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related disorders to live full and productive lives.

  • National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN): was created to raise the standard of care and increase access to services for children and families who experience or witness traumatic events.

  • The Allender Center: The mission of The Allender Center is to foster redemption and healing in individuals, couples, and communities by helping them tell their stories with awareness and integrity while also training leaders and professionals to engage the stories of others with courage, artistry, and care.
