Parents’ Night Out

September 16, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The mental health of the youth in our country—especially in relation to social media use—is constantly in the news. As parents, we can feel confused, fearful, or powerless about how to respond. Join Meaghan Hampton, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and FPC Covenant Partner, as she provides us with a Christ-centered and scientifically informed understanding of the origins of depression and anxiety and how parents and kids can cope. After the 45-minute talk, enjoy a night out off-campus before childcare pickup at 8 PM.

About the Speaker

Meaghan graduated summa cum laude from Houston Christian University with a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling. As a Christian Counselor, she desires to walk alongside those who are suffering as they find healing and flourishing in Christ. Meaghan has experience working with anxiety, depression, relationships, family conflict, grief, shame, self-esteem, forgiveness, parenting, PTSD, trauma, emotional disturbances, sexual identity, school-related issues, and ADHD. She has been married to her husband, Jamie, for 11 years and they have two children. She has an Instagram account @soulcareforfamilies dedicated to empowering Christian parents on their parenting journey.
